《Unreserved Love》

A bit super-duper late to write about the cds , have been busy with a lot of things recently. Especially about my hifi stuffs, have been busy reading up on it, and going around shops in
Apliu St, Sham Shui Po to try out different set ups.
Well... most stuffs are settled and I finally have some time sit down and listen to the CDs.

當我找Brand New World的CD時，你郤無聲的跑出來。失而復得的感覺加上動人的音樂，實在滿足得好比坐在一間舒服的Cafe，欣賞著窗外的海景，悠閒地看一本吸引得令人廢寢忘餐的書，再加上悠揚的音樂及一杯香濃的mocha coffee的感覺．．．滿足得很～～～～
Juwita Suwito's new album is now out. For Real is the follow-up to the award-winning Brand New World, and I have literally been waiting years for it. I thought the debut album was pretty good - actually, very good - and I just didn't quite understand why she didn't get more recognition. So now, her new album For Real is out, and of course, I've listened to it, and listened to it again. And (unsurprisingly), I like it. It's good.
Whether u'all will like it too depends on a few things, of course. Her music can be described as Happy Listening . It's not really Easy Listening (edgier than Norah Jones), nor is it pure pop . I do have to be honest and say that not every track is enjoyable. The cover of Desperado is shrug-shoulder worthy, and there is this song called Mayday! which I just don't like. But everything else kinda rocks.
The rockier style also means that we don't get those heart-wrenching tunes. You know, the ones you listen to while you lie back on the sofa and stare at the ceiling. My favourite song on the first album was Why Oh Why, and we ain't got none of that kind of sappiness now.

Juwita Suwito 一個陌生的名字，但她的動人聲線相信大家仍記憶猶新。她就是演繹《愛是不保留》英文版《Unreserved Love》的那一位馬來西亞女歌手。她的首張個人專輯《Brand New World》也大獲好評，很多聽眾也因她甜美的聲線而被吸引。而這張新專輯《For Real》也是Juwita一大突破，原因是這張專輯的歌曲沒有明顯提及『神』的名字，但郤是隱喻神的真實及實在。她盼望藉著自己的心聲作見證，分享她的心路歷程，去接觸未信者的心。

早幾天在唱片店試聽唱片時發現一把很美妙的歌聲，但感覺到溫婉的歌聲和令人心感平靜舒服，搜尋下才知歌者是菲律賓人，想不到還是一位年輕的結他歌手，彈唱俱佳呢！Aiza的嗓音亮度十足，在這張專輯中，Aiza翻唱了不少英文老歌，像是「Vincent」 、「I Can't Make You Love Me」、「I'll be there for you」、「Open Arms」，這些經典好歌，經由Aiza的詮釋後，確有一番不同的感覺，喜歡清新嗓音的人，千萬別錯過這張發燒碟。唱片中特別喜愛的有以下幾首*：

Aiza Seguerra's singing technique is very good, I can really feel her emotions through tracks like Vincent and Open Arms. Tunes chosen are heart-warming and listening to it really melts my heart. Although Aiza's singing is exceptional, her voice lacked character. It wasn't as significant and as unique sounding as that of Diana Krall or Norah Jones. But of course, I'm being unfair in comparing her to international singers. Sound quality of the recording was better than those average pop music, but nothing really audiophile about it, rather disappointing.
